Explore AI, Data and Analytics at Digital Health Rewired 2023
The onus is falling upon AI, Data and Analytics to save the NHS in a post-pandemic world. A dedicated stage at Digital Health Rewired 2023 will showcase the best of AI in action and explore opportunities for data and analytics in patient care.
The AI, Data and Analytics stage will bring together data scientists and researchers, clinicians, and healthcare IT professionals to discuss the latest uses of new analytical and predictive tools.
Highlights of the programme include Dominic Cushnan, director of AI, imaging and deployment at NHS England, who will ask in his keynote speech whether AI can save the NHS.
Cushnan will be joined on the two-day stage by speakers including Dr Nicola Byrne, national data guardian (NDG) for health and adult social care in England.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Trusted Research Environments (TREs) aimed to enable trustworthy use of health data for research. Dr Byrne will present on the progress of TREs one year on.
Also speaking on March 15 will be William Dixon, professor of digital epidemiology at the University of Manchester, about public consent for the data used in big data research.
Examples of how big data is making a tangible impact on the quality of care will be provided by Ross Fullerton, chief digital and information officer at Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB, and Conor Price, chief analyst at Herefordshire and Worcestershire PCNs.
Further speakers include Dr Dal Bansal, operations director for the National Pathology Imaging Co-Operative (NPIC), who will be sharing the experience of NPIC on a panel covering lessons learned about AI in the UK.
Dr Simon Wallace, chief clinical information officer at Nuance, a Microsoft company and sponsor of the AI, Data and Analytics Stage at this year’s Rewired, will be also talking about AI in action on March 14.
“The impact of artificial intelligence and data is something that is being felt across almost every industry, from banking to agriculture, but healthcare is an area where every single one of us holds a stake,” he said.
“AI technologies are transforming healthcare right now — and the future possibilities are endless. Moving forward, they will emerge as the key for both patients and clinicians to lead healthier, happier lives.”
Taking place on March 14-15 at the Business Design Centre in London, Digital Health Rewired 2023 is a conference and exhibition that brings together all parts of the digital health community to celebrate the best of digital, data and innovation in health and care.
Health and care professionals will be able to network, collaborate and learn in person during two days of educational conference sessions, exhibitions, and meetings, all focused on sharing best practice and innovation.
All the conference sessions will be CPD accredited.
Returning for its fifth year is the Pitchfest competition, which will be split into two categories for 2023. The competition will see 23 shortlisted candidates battle it out, with the best start-up winning an NHS test bed for their idea or solution.
