Innovators and pioneers reveal insights on shared care at Rewired 2020
The shared care track at Digital Health Rewired 2020 will feature innovators and pioneers who will reveal their insights into the topic.
Connecting up the different parts of health and care could be the key to unlocking the power of technology and is why there is a whole dedicated track to it at Digital Health Rewired 2020.
The Shared Care track will explore different approaches to using digital tools and channels to empower citizens to take greater control of their health, together with virtual care services that enable them to be better supported at home.
Key sessions include Coordinate My Care founder, Julia Riley, who will talk about how an initiative she began ten-years ago is now in use across the capital, and used GPs, carers, nurses and Ambulance and Out of Hours services.
Other speakers include Juliet Bauer, UK managing director at LIVI, and Richard Corbridge, from Boots.
Delegates will also hear key lessons and progress across major LHCRE programmes OneLondon and Thames Valley and Surrey as part of a packed conference track full of engaging speakers.
The conference sponsor of the shared care track is EMIS Health with CEO, Suzy Foster, saying the topic has always been “vitally important” to the company.
She added: “The programme [for Rewired 2020] looks really exciting, from the sponsors to the speakers to the cutting-edge topics, there will be something for everyone at Rewired and we hope everyone will leave feeling inspired to make a positive change.
“Start a new conversation, ask who you can work with to solve a challenge you’re facing, who has done it before and can show you the way, and what tech is available to you to kick start change. It all starts with finding out the possibilities.”
Foster added that the event brings “a new energy” to the healthcare IT sector.
“We found it’s a great way to start conversations, with a great programme of speakers inspiring thought and new ideas,” Foster added.
“Because it’s run by Digital Health, organisers of the annual CCIO and CIO Summer Schools, it has a strong clinical informatics theme which makes it a really focussed event.”
Allscripts is the speaker sponsor of the track with Richard Strong, vice president and managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said the company was “excited” to be part of Rewired 2020.
He added: Delegates can expect valuable networking opportunities with key stakeholders at Allscripts and will be able to discuss and understand Allscripts point of view on digital healthcare.
“With local experts onsite, we will be able to demonstrate solutions and answer any inquires that arise.
“We believe Rewired attracts the correct level of thought leader and decision maker within NHS trusts.”
