Inspirational Shuri Network back with a bang at Rewired 2020
Attendees can hear from the founders and leaders of the Shuri Network, the inspirational movement backing BAME women in health tech and digital health.
After a successful launch at Summer Schools 2019, the Shuri Network will be back with a bang at Digital Health Rewired 2020.
Book your place at the Rewired Leadership Summit 2020 on 3 March at London Olympia to hear from founders and leaders of the Shuri Network, the inspirational movement backing BAME women in health tech and digital health that has taken the sector by storm.
Addressing 300 of the most senior health IT leaders the members of the Shuri Network will share their own journeys and the organisation’s remarkable progress since launching earlier this year.
Dr Shera Chok, medical director at Tower Hamlets GP Federation, co-founded the network after attending Summer Schools in 2018 and realising there were very few women of BME background working in the audience.
The network was officially launched at Digital Health Summer Schools 2019 and has gone from strength to strength since then.
Shera said: “Rewired is a fantastic opportunity to meet innovators in digital health and build connections that will lead to improved patient care.
“The Shuri Network will be there in 2020 and we look forward to meeting you!”
Shera will be joined by fellow co-founder, Sarah Amani, who is senior programme manager for the early intervention in psychosis programme in the south of England. The programme leverages the power of data and data visualisation to drive improvements.
Also joining the stellar panel will be Sonia Patel, joint CIO at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust and The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS FT. Sonia is one of the very few female Asian CIOs in the NHS, with over 18 years of experience and one of the first participants in the NHS Digital Academy.
Last but by no means least, the panel will also feature Rafiah Badat, who is currently leading a half million-pound NHS-funded project working with patients to co-design digital therapy tools in collaboration with the National Institute for Health Research (NHIR), Health Education England, City University and St George’s Trust.
Tickets for the Rewired Leadership Summit on 3 March 2020 are £100 and exclusively available to senior NHS and independent sector health IT leaders.
