Applications for Digital Health Rewired Pitchfest 2020 now open
The competition provides an opportunity for digital health start-ups to pitch their idea in front of a crowd of NHS IT leaders and digital health investors.
Applications for Digital Health Rewired Pitchfest 2020 are now open following a successful launch this year.
The competition on 4 March 2020 provides an opportunity for early stage digital health start-ups to pitch their idea or venture in front of a hugely influential crowd of senior NHS IT leaders and big digital health investors.
Run as part of the Digital Health Rewired Conference and Exhibition, the Pitchfest is an ideal way to build NHS relationships, gain exposure and develop innovative concepts or start-ups.
Last year’s Rewired Pitchfest winners, TestCard, developed a device that embeds a urine diagnostic device into a postcard.
Luke Heron, co-founder and CEO of TestCard, said: “Simply put, Pitchfest is a singularly unique opportunity to put your startup on the map. It is, without question, the only competition that truly puts health related businesses through their paces and scrutinises the viability of their proposition whilst also encouraging them in their endeavours.
“The opportunity to participate in Pitchfest offers a phenomenal launchpad for new innovative medical technologies and to win Pitchfest is an unrivalled validation of your enterprise from the leading minds in global healthcare.”
The competition, now in its second year, welcomes a cohort of high-profile judges for 2020, including:
- Jon Hoeksma, CEO, Digital Health
- Tony Young, National Clinical Lead for Innovation, NHS England
- James Wise, Partner, Balderton Capital (VC)
- Ayesha Rahim, CCIO and Deputy Medical Director, Lancashire Care NHS FT
- Kate Newhouse, CEO, Blenheim Chalcot (VC)
- Chris Sawyer, Innovation Lead, Digital Health at Innovate UK
On the morning of the Pitchfest groups of start-ups will each deliver a three-minute pitch and then answer questions from the judges live on stage. A winner from each group will be chosen to go through to the final, where finalists will pitch again, and the judges will then name an overall Pitchfest winner.
Rewired Pitchfest is organised by Digital Health, the market-leading publishers of news, research and organisers of the annual CCIO and CIO Summer Schools and Digital Health Rewired, home to Pitchfest.
